SP Group Disposal…it’s a Global Market (Case Study)

Background

Allan Graham and Matt Ingram of Duff & Phelps were appointed as joint administrators in July 2018 over SP Group which was a Redditch based point-of-sale printing specialist.

Through the support of the client, we were given the time and budget to plan and execute our optimum disposal strategy in full which paid dividends as the resulting realisation was some 25% over expectations.

Outcome

The benefits of being able to execute our full marketing strategy and campaign for specialist assets of this nature, has been one of the major findings of the whole process. The market proved to be truly global with registered buyers for the auction from 37 different countries, as diverse as Peru, Iraq, Russia and India, as well as the more established print markets of mainland Europe and the USA.
